- Student comparison of two hypothetical building retrofit proposals.
- Separated claimed savings from implementation assumptions and evidence quality.
- Interested in junior climate-finance analysis; no verified emissions reductions.
- Preparation and fallback plan: I would seek junior analytical work involving project assumptions, cost information and the evidence behind environmental claims. Before applying, I plan to turn the comparison into a short note distinguishing estimated savings from conditions required to deliver them. I would ask for feedback on which uncertainties are decision-relevant. A sustainability analysis role could also be useful if it involves evaluation rather than only reporting attractive headlines. I want to learn how a proposal is examined and followed through before taking responsibility for a financing recommendation or claiming an impact that has not been measured.
- Progress check: I would use feedback to distinguish a useful qualification from a vague warning, and make each uncertainty relevant to the decision at hand.
- Comparison: similar savings labels concealed different building-use assumptions. Student prepared a conditions table and separated scientific evidence, implementation choices and financing implications.
